Stanley

November 13, 2009 at 1:02 pm (Uncategorized)

Today we’re going to Stanley Markets. Yesterday we met up with Simon ad walked around Causeway Bay and Mong Kok again. 6 days just walking around Mong Kok, even the store sellers are knowing us by face and sometimes name.

No more money left and I owe Nathan 500bucks. Shaun tell us what colour tie you would like. And for the people who are going to Hong Kong anyway, we probably won’t be getting souvenirs for you as there is no point. I am looking at Chris.

By the way, tell us about the Jap exam two days ago :P . We were gonna say good luck but the exam had already started.

See you all at formal :) . I am missing a few of you. Michael Liu especially. Ciao ladies.

To puff or not to puff

November 10, 2009 at 12:32 am (Uncategorized)

I am drinking pineapple beer as i am typing, whilst Eddy lychee and Edison peach. Yes we are very straight. And yes it is not really alcohol. Yay for 0.05% alcohol. Note to self: don’t drink heineken on a plane; it dries you up whilst paradoxically making you want to pee.

Today Edison and I went clothes shopping. We purchased awesome puffy jackets that have these weird furry things (more awesome than yours chris). I find it quite funny that Hong Kong needs these kinds of clothing; it’s so bloody hot and humid here. Oh another thing, as we were walking to Fa Yuen Gai, we encountered some crazy ass mice, fish and turtles. One fish resembled Ruilong quite a bit with its enlarged forehead and a large sack around its eyes. The turtles were also really cheap; $1.50 a pop. I wanted to buy one and raise it in the swimming pool before eating setting it free at Ocean Park.

Tomorrow shall be dedicated to our panda search and destroy rescue. I will attempt to steal a panda from Ocean Park as we ride the…..rides.

Anyways, have to go now. Sorry for the short posts and lack of photos. Once again, f u ambert.

Bye :)

HONG KONG

November 9, 2009 at 11:32 am (Uncategorized)

First of all i’d like to say a big F U to Ambert for ditching us the night before we went to Hong Kong. He decided not to go since he had an interview and did not give us any forewarning. As such, we have been unable to videoblog due to the lack of technology. Right now im using my mobile on some free wifi to post this short blog up.

Hong Kong is what everyone imagines it to be. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Imagine, going to McDonalds and buying a large meal for $4. Yes thats right, a large big mac meal costs $4 (converted to Aus of course). And thats still considered expensive.

We’ve eaten at numerous restaurants and have had the opportunity to sample a large variety of cuisine. Our vegetable intake is currently at an all time low and thus we are suffering from quite severe constipation. KIDDING, nah Eddy woke up at 4am and had to poop.

Furthermore clothes shopping is very cheap here too. GENUINE quiksilver shirts in Aus cost in excess of $40. In Australia, you can get an awesome one for $20 Aus. As such i have bought a lot of NORMAL CLOTHES (looking at you chris). Shoes are also very cheap. $40 AUs will get you an awesome pair of superstars.

Shout out to Michael Liuser, i bought your pair of shoes.

I have also bought my formal suit and i must say the service is awesome. Got it cheap and it’s being tailored as i am currently typing. I like it….hopefully you guys will. I’ve also bought a nice leather wallet at the hotel for $50 Aus, discounted from around 70-80. It seems like the more expensive it is in Australia, the cheaper it becomes in Hong Kong. I also bought a really nice fountain pen discounted from $300 Aus to around $200something at Sogo, which is some huge-ass department store with like 12 levels.

The only thing i hate about hong kong is the ladies pollution and weather. Despite the fact it is considered ‘winter’, the temperature is always around 26-30 degrees. The humidity is also astronomical; 85% XD. Hence everytime we walk around the shops, we come back looking like wet dogs.

Anyways, i’ll try and blog when i hack find some wifi networks. I’ll also try to upload some pics, but i can’t guarantee i will.

Tell me if you guys still want something.

Happy studying Japanese peeps.

Flying

November 5, 2009 at 11:31 pm (Uncategorized)

As you ladies are reading this, we (Nathan, Edison and I) may already be flying over Queensland or some other country on the way to Hong Kong. This blog may or may not be updated during our trip, depending on if we get internet anywhere.

Happy Birthday to: Dan, Vinson, Marcus, Sam, Smevin, Michelle, Ringo, Ashima, James Zhang, Simon, Bovie, William, Leo Sun and Michael Liu (LT). Doesn’t matter if you guys don’t read this blog, because each birthday should be celebrated.

Thank you to Alison, Connie, Chris, Shaun, Grubs, Edison, Nathan and anybody else who chipped in for the presents and everything. Just plain freaking awesome.

Make sure to have fun everyone :) . Apart from interviews, we have four months to party it up. Good luck to those who still have exams, especially Shaun ;)

HSC IS COMPLETE

November 3, 2009 at 6:11 pm (Uncategorized)

I have officially finished my HSC.

13 years of school wasted completed.

But i am not joyous. Nor am I in party mood.

In fact, i feel bored…………….ALREADY

First day of holidays, and i’ve done absolutely nothing.

Last night, i went grocery shopping with my mum. Ended up buying a lot of junk food and 6 pack of Heineken for one of my good friends who will be having his wisdom teeth removed. I’ve never realised the immense cost of alcohol; i always thought it was cheap! Compared to Japan, where a beer costs 300 yen, AUS is so much more bloody expensive. SO WHERE THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU.

Yeah excuse my random outbursts…i’m just really bored T_T

Spent melbourne cup day wallowing in my misery. POST HSC is not what is hyped up to be. But oh well, 3 more days till HK. That should be fun

Anyways, that was a short post. Currently planning HK itinerary.

If any of you readers want me to buy you anything, email me a list or msn me or leave a comment.

Have fun studying Phys and Eco ppl :P

Oh and those quirky jap ppl too
EDIT: Whilst trawling through facebook; i found this funny pic. I’m sure most of you may have seen it already, but it never ceases to amuse me. *chuckle chuckle*

grubsy

Aaaa, dear oh dear. Just what were you thinking Grubsy

Not yet over

October 2, 2009 at 10:47 pm (Uncategorized)

Today I was surprised at the number of people who turned up at school. Although that might have been because they were waiting for ISCF End of Term rather than taking part in actual study (Michael Liu). Devesh’s maths study group was still on and extended for around 4 hours or thereabouts.

Oh, Nathan tricked both Chris and Ruilong into wearing school uniform today. He said that yesterday he turned up at school in mufti and got into trouble for it to both of them, and they both turned up in school uniform. Yay :D

A day filled with a lot of food: chicken pie for recess, Subway for lunch with Subway cookies (I didn’t drop the best bit Butch ;) ), burger for dinner and a few more salad rolls (coi guon) for when i got home. So full and still digesting it all.

Just a reminder for myself. Owe John: $2.40 (and someday will pay him back for all the petrol), Drew: $9.90, Chris: a mountain of gold but for now, $20.

Today was the first time I went to Pennant Hills library with Chris. Decided that I wasn’t going to do much work at home and Parramatta was getting a little dry, I decided to try for a change of studying area). Not much to say except it was bigger than I thought and when Chris and I were doing our maths paper, one of his friends came who had missed the bus to his formal. Decked in his formal gear Chris didn’t want him to miss it, even though he would still miss half of it because he missed that bus. I hope that guy didn’t miss too much of his formal because everything went wrong for him that today (taxi came late, phone battery died, person who he wanted to call has phone battery died as well and Chris didn’t have the numbers).

Shaun came later and we reflected on awkward times at school (and out of school) so yeh, had a really good time talking with Chris and Shaun at the library. Scared we were a bit loud but eh, might never come here again.

After that Chris very nicely bought me lunch (to which I have to repay). Thank you so much Chris, now I have to spend $9.50 on a dinner I didn’t want. Kidding :) Appreciated your kindness and next time we will down that ginger ale. Drank Vanilla coke for the first time in bloody 3 years or something. Still so smooth as Sandy said (see that sibilance?).

With everybody at school and being able to see everybody still, the holidays don’t actually seem like a lonely time. I know that I can just visit John’s house or Sy’s hole anytime since they live so close so holidays just seem a nice time now.

That’s all from me tonight. Goodnight everybody :)

Just for good times me John and Edison had :D

I beg to differ

October 1, 2009 at 8:19 pm (Uncategorized)

Just a short post tonight.

These past two years at Ruse has been absolutely magnificent! The teachers, the students, the atmosphere, i have absolutely no regrets in coming to Ruse at all. I remember contemplating my decision on whether to accept my offer or not; but now i can clearly state that i have held no regrets whatsoever.

I’d like to thank the whole ruse group just for accepting an outlandish individual like me into their community. You guys have been really supportive, friendly and very caring :)

On another note, i don’t think it has dawned on me that high school has kind of ended. I have not felt pangs of great sadness (like grubsy) in these past few days. Maybe its because im relatively ‘new’ to the ruse community….but yeah, i just dont feel sad.

here is a nice foto to end the night

why so.......stoned????

Inevitable

September 29, 2009 at 7:28 pm (Uncategorized)

Chris today played me his rendition of “River Flows in You” by Yiruma and “Statue” by Lil Eddie. Needless to say, I loved it. Statue is one of my favourites and is mainly an RnB song but anybody who likes nice piano songs should listen to it. The song title in this case, isn’t RnB but appropriate :)

Today was our luncheon. Although the food was quite nice (goi cuon especially), there wasn’t enough for all the parents and us hungry hungry hippos. Bravin had a thank you speech and a slideshow or Year 7 and Year 12 photos were done. Very nice and funny.

After luncheon a lot of us went down to the oval to play gridiron. Teams were set and Deva wanted to go skins since it was his last day (can’t make it to beach tomorrow). Bryan followed and soon a few more people decided to drop their top (Gabriel, Ben, Jeremy and I included). Game was hectic and crap because all bloody tanks on the one team – Victor, Kelvin and Michael Li. What the eff. Highlight of the day was Anthony getting bulldozed by a charging Victor. Went flying for a bit, hit the floor and flipped over again. My god. He has balls. I like … balls.

Yesterday was final assembly and Single Ladies stole the show maybe. Lancy’s Norah Jones song was awesome too, as well as Four Chords. Glad we took part in the dancing because I would have hated just watching it. A few too many in-jokes which left a great many people facepalming themselves. However, it was fun for those who did get it, and this was OUR assembly.

A big thank you to Ms Jenns for singing and being such a great Year Adviser. The best. A few people cried at the end which was to be expected and it just shows how much high school life really meant to them.

As mentioned, tomorrow is beach day and looking forward to it. A big early Happy Birthday to Carol and Winnie tomorrow, for they are turning 18. Also, happy birthday to Lee and Milo (reading my blogz).

I don’t have any photos to post up because I don’t take my camera to school. Tomorrow maybe.

Tonight my brother is at his semiformal, which makes me wish we had a semiformal too. can’t remember exactly what happened to it but it just got destroyed. Eh.

That’s all today, I’m gonna go grab a cup of juice and waste time on computer for the rest of the night. Eff, John’s sense of motivation is catchy/non-existent.
